Mendell recently designed a logo and sponsorship brochure for the upcoming Pink Tie Gala, and Luanne (a super nice person and my point of contact) sent me this email after we sent them the final design:

I meant to tell you: I have a very very good friend, breast cancer survivor, very active in Relay for Life and Komen in DC area. I sent this to her yesterday. She just called, in tears. She may come BECAUSE (and tell your husband!) the graphics just “popped” off the page and made her WANT to come!

That was literally the nicest compliment we’ve ever gotten. It was a good reality check for us – a compliment like this reminded me that no matter how seemingly benign or commercial the assignment is (a brochure!), it still can have a positive emotional impact. I love what we do!

…and new website. Why did we choose a blog style? Check our About page!

So what’s new with DelaCruz PhotoGraphics these days? For starters, we’ve been immersed in some charity and community work. We’re producing logos and promotional materials for the Young Filipino American Professionals of Hampton Roads as well as the Tidewater Affiliate of The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s very FIRST Pink Tie Gala. We’re very excited about both of these. As proud residents of Hampton Roads, we love to contribute to local businesses and community organizations.

On the personal client end, we’ve been staying busy with processing photos for some beautiful summer weddings and producing invitations and print work for upcoming fall and winter weddings. We’re got a few openings for this year and next still open, schedule a consultation today!
